ORSO’S ELBOWS ARE OFA NORMAL! – 11.14.2011

Last week, Orso had his elbows x-rayed for OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) review and we are thrilled to announce that his preliminary results report that his elbows are normal.  Although OFA requires that official results be issued for radiographs after 24 months of age, they do send out preliminary reports, which is what Orso received in today’s mail since he is only 16 months old.  As of right now, Orso is:

OFA Normal for Patellas
OFA Normal for Heart
OFA Normal for Elbows (Preliminary Report)
PennHIP 70th Percentile (Top 30% for Cane Corso hips 0.55/0.55)

Costa Bel Cane Corso is committed to producing healthy puppies and we will always perform rigorous health testing on our dogs before he or she is bred.  This is our contribution to the positive progression of the Cane Corso breed.
