Cleo earned her AKC Champion title out of the 9-12 month puppy classes in only 8 weeks of showing since she earned her first point in Miami in December. Thanks to all involved, especially to Daniel Sanchez and Vanessa Lanz-Sanchez for handling her, Kathi Wisdom for training her, Yulia Washington for breeding her and Steel and JoAnne Campbell, owners of Cleo’s mom & dad!  Cleo with her handler, Daniel Sanchez:    Karma with her handler, Daniel Sanchez:  Karma, at 9 months of age, takes Best of Opposite, from the puppy class on 02.19.2012 in Lakeland, FL, under Judge Alan Addicott with handler Vanessa Lanz-Sanchez for her 3rd 5-point major win and making her a new AKC Champion! Thanks, Judge Addicott, Vanessa, Danny & Karma!  Cleo was chosen as Select Bitch this morning in Lakeland under Judge Donna Buxton for her third AKC Champion defeated! She now has only 4 points until she is an AKC Grand Champion! This is the easy part since all her majors and AKC Champion defeats are done! Thanks, Danny, Vanessa, Judge Buxton & Cleo!
Today was another outstanding show day for Costa Bel Cane Corso! Karma took Winners Bitch, Best of Winners and Best of Opposite today in Lakeland, Florida, with her handler, Daniel Sanchez, under Judge Mr. Alan Addicott for her third 5-point major win, earning her an AKC Champion title at only 9 month of age! Today was a large entry in the Cane Corso ring, 7 bitches in total, so this is an exceptional win for Karma! Karma earned her AKC Championship out of the puppy classes, which is a great accomplishment! We are very proud of our Karma and of our handlers, Danny & Vanessa Sanchez, and their exceptional team of assistants! A ton of thanks go to them, Judge Addicott and of course, Karma! Special thanks go to Brian & Jordan Martin! Meanwhile, Cleo earned another major win toward her AKC Grand Champion title today and defeated another AKC Champion, bringing her considerably closer to finishing her AKC Grand Champion title! Today’s win was with her handler, Vanessa Lanz-Sanchez, under Judge Addicott. Thank you, Judge Addicott, Vanessa and Cleo! Both Cleo (with Danny) and Karma (with Vanessa) in the Breed ring:  Vanessa, with Karma, receiving the Best of Breed ribbon from Judge Lee Canalizo after yesterday’s Best of Breed 5-point major win:  Today was an incredible success for Costa Bel Cane Corso in Lakeland! Karma, at only 9 months of age, won Winners Bitch, Best of Winners and Best of Breed today in Lakeland for a 5 point major – the highest number of points awarded at any single AKC event – under well-respected Judge Mrs. Lee Canalizo with her handler, Vanessa Lanz-Sanchez! Karma beat 8 other Cane Corsos, including 5 AKC Champions, with today’s win! This win brings Karma only 3 points away from earning her AKC Champion title! Meanwhile, Cleo was awarded Select Bitch for a 3 point major and defeated another AKC Champion, also under Judge Canalizo, with her handler, Daniel Sanchez! Cleo now needs to defeat 9 more dogs, including 2 Champions, to earn her AKC Grand Champion title! It was truly a successful show day for Team Costa Bel and we are completely thrilled with today’s outcome! Immense thanks go to Judge Canalizo, Vanessa, Danny, Karma & Cleo! Cleo earned Best of Opposite in Lakeland this morning for a 3-point major toward her Grand Championship under Judge Pat Mowbray-Morgan with her handler, Daniel Sanchez! Thanks to all involved!  I just found out that on February 4th, 2012, Orso was awarded the 2011 SACCI Puppy Dog of the Year award! Annually, the SACCI (Society in America for Cane Corso Italiano) awards the Top Puppy Dog of the Year to the puppy who defeats the most Cane Corsos by 12 months of age. I am very excited that Orso was given this honor! Thank you, SACCI!
