After our trip to the dog park, we headed home to drop off Mouse & Luna, take showers, eat and let Orso recharge. Then we headed off to our Nose Work class at UM with Dee from Applause Your Paws. Dee stepped up the difficulty of the class by bringing more challenging items in which to detect where treats have been planted. She brought clothes, plastic shoe boxes, grocery bags, hampers and purses. These were all in addition to the cardboard boxes. She also added a height element to the training by stacking the boxes. It was a really cool class and I loved seeing how Orso this week was using his tracking skills instead of sight to identify the containers that had treats hidden inside.
