After emails back and forth, getting to know each other better, and sharing photos of each other’s dogs, we figured out that there is a high probability that one of the upcoming planned litters will produce the pup we are hoping for. We agree to keep in touch with Diane regularly to make sure we get on her waiting list when the time comes. Below is a wonderful email we received from her:
“Hi Yvonne, It was very nice speaking with you also. Thanks for the pictures—they are adorable! Love the expression on your Catahoula! I do believe that you will provide a great home for any puppy and I am really excited that it may be one of mine. You will be very happy when you come meet the “big” guys. I cannot say for sure right now that I would be available, but chances are that I will. My youngest litter turns 8 weeks on the 1st of July and depending on whether or not they have all found homes I will still be home with babies. If they have all gone home I will be attending a dog show in NJ on the 11th and hope to be back home on the 13th, if so the 14th may be the better day. The best way to ensure a pick in a particular litter is to have a deposit in early. I do not encourage sending deposits before a planned breeding is confirmed, but it seem that those wanting grey puppies outnumbers those interested in any other color puppy. I know that next year I plan to breed Ramona early and Alondra later in the year. Alondra will without a doubt have a litter full of greys and with Ramona there is a chance of her producing grey as well as her mother is grey. But we can discuss that when you come up for a visit. Talk to you soon! Diane“ Comments are closed.
