A GUIDE FOR COSTA BEL CANE CORSO PUPPY FAMILIES

Dog Food:

Your puppy has been raised on Acana Heritage Free Run Poultry:  http://acana.com/our-foods/heritage/free-run-poultry/?lang=usa

There are Natural K9 Supplies stores in Miami, Davie and Pembroke Pines but they also have a very competitive online presence and ship, often for free with a $75 purchase: https://www.naturalk9supplies.com/products/acana-heritage-free-run-poultry-4887.aspx.  They are a small mom+pop and I prefer that my families keep their business with them but will respect whatever you decide in terms of from whom you purchase.

Litter Box + Pellets:

Medium for inside of crate: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Plasgad-Black-Medium-Concrete-Mixing-Tub-887101C/205451550

Large for outside of crate: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Plasgad-Black-Large-Concrete-Mixing-Tub-887102C/205451585

Pine Pellets (I only included this link so you know what to purchase but you can probably get them at any local feed store): http://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/equine-fresh-pine-pellet-stall-bedding-40-lb

Even with a yard this comes in very handy, especially in bad weather.  Your puppy is completely litter box trained and will pee and poop in the litter box.  Make sure you keep it under a roof, like on a patio, or in the garage.  Your puppy sometimes misses and pees over the side.

Kuranda Bed for Outdoors or Indoors:

These are excellent for joints and ventilation.  They are super durable and easy to keep clean.  I have like 8-9 of them, the dogs love them and they last forever.  If you decide to get one, get the Aluminum Dog Bed in with the 40 ounce vinyl in XXL 50x36.  It is approximately $160 but worth every penny.  There are also smaller ones that fit in the crate.  If you use the link below, they will donate to charity and possibly give you 10% off if they have a special running:  https://kuranda.com/dog-breeds/cane-corso?partner=15508

Crate:

Petco Premium 2-Door Dog Crate in XX Large: https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/petco-premium-2-door-dog-crates

Water Bottle Lickers (Adaptors): http://www.paws-and-tails.com/waterlickers.aspx

Fatpet TM 400 ML Pet Dog Water Bottle: http://smile.amazon.com/Bottles-Fatpet-Bottle-Automatically-Feeding/dp/B01827UTNK?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00

If you want a giant crate, this is a very good one: http://www.petsupplies.com/item/midwest-xxlarge-dog-crate/110426/

Crate Bedding:

You always want to have two beds in case of an accident.  One can be in the wash while the other one is in use.
http://www.kvsupply.com/quiet-time-reversible-beds-46-x-29

K9 Ballistics is pretty much impossible to destroy and comes with a guarantee.  I purchase the Orthopedic TUFF Crate Pad Large (47''x28''x2'').  You should be able to get 10% off if you use coupon code CBCC: http://k9ballistics.com/index.php/user/CostaBelCaneCorso

Bark Collar:

As much as I hate this, I know that sometimes a bark collar is necessary.  This is a simple one that I would recommend:
http://store.petsafe.net/bark-control-collar

Do not forget to purchase replacement batteries!

Prong/Pinch Collar:

When used correctly, I do think that a prong collar is a great tool.  As much as I will discourage its use, if it presents itself as a necessary tool then this is the one I recommend with the nylon protective cover: http://www.fordogtrainers.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=66_77&products_id=2266

Double-Handle Leash:

In leather: http://leerburg.com/twohandleleash.htm

In nylon + neoprene: https://www.tackwholesale.com/padded-double-handle-leash-warranted-replaceable-snap-p-4927.html

Dremel + Tips:

I use a Dremel 300.  It comes with a bunch of sanding tips but the best ones are 432 or 408.  You can purchase the Dremel 300 at Walmart, Lowe's or any other large store with a substantial hardware department.  The one I use has a cord that tends to get in the way.  I usually have to dremel 8-14 dogs and puppies at a time, so it is an inconvenience for me.  Dremels also come cordless in case a cord will be an issue for you.

Toys + Treats:

There are Natural K9 Supplies stores in Miami, Davie and Pembroke Pines and they have started to carry many of these toys at competitive prices.  However, for non local puppy families, I have provided online links for the items I purchase regularly as an alternative.
